Trillium Woods Senior Community in Plymouth Announces $56M Expansion
Trillium Woods Expansion Includes Adding Jobs
Trillium Woods, an upscale senior living community in Plymouth, plans to add 86 residential units as part of a $56 million expansion plan.
The expansion will feature units for the complete continuum of care. It includes 52 independent living units, 18 assisted-living residences and 16 private memory-care studios.
Trillium Woods currently has 209 independent residences, 14 duplexes and 44 assisted living suites on its 46-acre campus.
The project is expected to take 16 months to complete with a groundbreaking planned in 2024.
“The overall look will echo the current design concept, which we call ‘Modern Minnesota Prairie Style,'” said Christopher Durham, project development manager at LCS, the company that will oversee the project.
Other companies working on the large project include Minnetonka-based engineering firm Westwood Professional Services, Saint Paul-based design firm Pope Design Group and Minneapolis-based general contractor Kraus Anderson Cos.
A new bistro restaurant with a “strong Minnesota lakes theme” and additional parking are also part of the plan.
When finished, the project will generate approximately 40 new full- and part-time positions.
“It is a privilege to live and work here, and we are pleased to continue contributing to the Minneapolis area economy by growing the workforce and expanding our tax base for the county and state,” said Joe Amend-Marshall, executive director of Trillium Woods, in a statement to CCX News.
Trillium Woods is owned and managed by Des Moines, Iowa-based Life Care Services.
