Three Local Teachers Named Semifinalists for Teacher of the Year
Out of the 33 teachers who made it through to the semifinalist round for Education Minnesota’s Teacher of the Year, three are from districts in the CCX News coverage area.
Jennifer Hairrell from Maple Grove Middle School, Lisa Neaderhiser from Jackson Middle School and Tatiana O’Donnell from Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion are all semifinalists.
A press release says an independent selection panel of 21 community leaders chose the semifinalists from an initial field of 132 candidates. Several local candidates were also part of the candidate list.
Ten to 12 finalists will be selected from this group and a Teacher of the Year will be selected in May.
