This Year’s Cooper Craft Fair Becomes ‘Environmentally Friendly’
The New Hope Women of Today are taking steps to become more environmentally friendly.
“If we are going to make the environment better and not worse, it’s going to take each of us thinking about our own actions daily,” said Rachel Braaten with the organization.
One way that the Women of Today are going green is by encouraging shoppers to bring their own bag to the annual Cooper Craft Fair this Saturday. If you bring a reusable bag, then you are entered into a drawing to win a gift basket.
The Cooper Craft Fair is on the last Saturday of October. All profits from the fair will go back into the community.
“You aren’t going to see any businesses or multi-level marketing,” said Theresa Carpenter, one of the event organizers. “It’s refreshing to see that it’s all handmade items.”
Carpenter says the crafts vary from body care, treats or home décor.
