The Buttered Tin Plans Plymouth Restaurant at The Boulevard Project Site
The Buttered Tin, a restaurant that has gained acclaim for fresh-baked goods and scratch-made breakfasts and lunches, has announced its planning to open in Plymouth at The Boulevard redevelopment site.
The restaurant is founded and operated by Alicia Hinze, a former champion on Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars.”
“This is an exciting moment for The Buttered Tin as we continue to grow in a way that stays true to who we are-made-from-scratch quality, comfortable food and approachable joy,” said Hinze in a press release.
The Buttered Tin will be featured inside Coborn’s new flagship grocery store, which is part of a 75-acre redevelopment at I-494 and Bass Lake Road, the site of the former Prudential campus.
This will be the third location for The Buttered Tin, which also has a presence in northeast Minneapolis and St. Paul. The Buttered Tin offers a counter-service format with food delivered to the table. It also has a variety of espresso and coffee drinks and serves wine and beer in the afternoon and early evening.
The Buttered Tin is planning to open in early March 2026.
“Plymouth is vibrant and full of energy, and we’re grateful for the chance to serve and become part of the neighborhood,” said Hinze.
Summit Orthopedics is the first tenant to recently open in The Boulevard development.
Roers Cos. and Scannell Properties are partnering on the large-scale project, which will also eventually feature up to 800 units of housing, a business campus and a park.
