The Blue Bells Chronicles – Brooklyn Park author helps others publish
Books aren’t published the way they used to be.
Brooklyn Park’s Laura Vosika joins a growing number of authors who have self-published books with growing success. Vosika’s books, “The Blue Bells Chronicles”, are about two men who switch places from modern times to medieval Scotland, much like the popular author Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series.
“They have time travel and medieval Scotland in common, but that’s about it,” says Vosika, who started writing the books in 2005.
Vosika’s books, “The Blue Bells Chronicles” have sold nearly 60,000 copies, but she’s not content to rest upon her laurels. She is helping others publish books through an independent publishing company called “Gabriel’s Horn Press.”
“There are good books out there,” says Vosika. “These big publishing houses can’t do it all. There are so many wonderful stories and I’ll meet people in the most unlikely of places and I’ll find that they have written a book and it’s just sitting in a drawer.”
