TequilaTown Mexican Restaurant Opening Soon in Crystal
A new Mexican restaurant plans to open soon in Crystal. TequilaTown Authentic Mexican Cuisine and Bar will take the spot of the former El Loro restaurant, which moved to a new location in New Hope.
The owners, Fabian Blanco and Moises Blanco, are currently doing interior renovations at the location, which is in the Crystal Shopping Center. The city council approved a liquor license for the restaurant at its meeting Tuesday night.
The brother duo say the look of TequilaTown “will be much different” than El Loro when the renovation work is complete. They also say they will have many different dishes than the previous restaurant.
“I was sad to see El Loro went away, but I was ecstatic to see you guys are coming in,” remarked Crystal Mayor Jim Adams at Tuesday’s meeting.
The Blancos told the Crystal City Council that this isn’t their first restaurant venture and have worked in the industry for more than 20 years.
They say they are planning to open the new restaurant sometime in July.
TequilaTown will take the place of the former El Loro restaurant in the Crystal Shopping Center
