Teen Killed in Motorcycle Crash After Enlisting in Air Force

A Maple Grove man was killed in a motorcycle crash last week while he was on his way home from enlisting in the Air Force.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, Landon Cole, 18, died of multiple blunt force injuries on Sept. 5 when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Vicksburg Lane and 28th Avenue North in Plymouth.

First responders’ lifesaving measures were unsuccessful. Investigators are still trying to determine what happened.

An online fundraiser on the website “Give a Hand” says Cole was a devoted big brother, son, nephew and loving boyfriend.

The website said he enlisted in the Air Force that morning and was excited to join the military and travel the world.

A fundraiser was set up to help pay for Landon Cole’s funeral expenses.
