Sweet Taste of Italy Plans to Return to Crystal (Sort of)
The Sweet Taste of Italy closed its doors in Crystal in 2019, but owner Jim Stone says he plans to launch a food truck and participate in a commissary kitchen that serves all of the area. The commissary kitchen would be a shared kitchen space for several restaurants, and prepare food for pick-up or delivery. He hopes to begin service sometime this month.
Stone says this will be a very “2021 kitchen,” with orders placed on a smart phone app and either delivered or ready for pick-up.
The location will be in Minneapolis, and Stone says it will reach all of the customers that have gone to the Crystal location for the last 31 years.

The Sweet Taste of Italy location in Crystal closed in late 2019. There’s another location in Brooklyn Park.
