Suspects Run Across I-394 in Golden Valley Following Vehicle Crash
Two people were arrested by the Minnesota State Patrol Wednesday night after a dangerous chase and crash on Interstate 394.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, troopers attempted to stop a vehicle for traffic violations on Highway 169 near the interchange with I-394. The driver fled the scene and headed eastbound on I-394.
A short time later, the driver crashed into a sign on I-394 near Xenia Avenue in Golden Valley.
Two of four occupants in the vehicle fled the scene of the crash, running across traffic on the highway, the State Patrol said.
Law enforcement apprehended all four of the occupants following the crash.
Troopers arrested the woman driving the vehicle for fleeing police, driving while impaired and possession of a controlled substance. She is a 33-year-old woman from Mankato.
The female suspect received medical treatment and was later booked in the Hennepin County Jail while charges are pending.
Another occupant had an active felony warrant with the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office. The 34-year-old Mankato man was arrested following the chase.
According to Minnesota State Patrol Lt. Gordon Shank, the investigation into the incident remains open.
