State Rep. Mike Freiberg Loses Friendly Wager on Vikings / 49ers Game
This Sunday, Vikings fans might be a little bitter about not playing in the NFC Championship Game. A state lawmaker from Golden Valley had a friendly bet riding on the divisional round game against the San Francisco 49ers last week.
DFL Representative Mike Freiberg lost his bet with California Assemblymember Marc Levine when the Vikings lost to the 49ers. As a result, Freiberg made a donation to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul in Sonoma County. But the California lawmaker offered to pay up too. Levine said he would contribute to the Golden Valley nonprofit, PRISM.
