State Patrol: Plymouth Man Fatally Struck on Highway 169
A Plymouth man was struck and killed walking onto a highway overnight after crashing his vehicle, according to an incident report provided by the Minnesota State Patrol.
The crash happened just after midnight Tuesday on southbound Highway 169 in Scott County near Louisville Township between Shakopee and Jordan.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the Plymouth man went into a ditch and rolled his vehicle. The State Patrol said he then entered the highway when he was struck by another vehicle driven by a 44-year-old Henderson woman.
It’s unclear what led to the single-vehicle rollover crash or what caused the man to walk onto the highway.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the identity of the man killed had not been released, though the State Patrol said he was 36 years old.
The State Patrol said it expects to release more information Wednesday.
