St. Alphonsus Catholic School Students Decorate MN Tree in President’s Park
Students from St. Alphonsus Catholic School in Brooklyn Center created ornaments to trim the Minnesota tree at President’s Park (White House). The Minnesota tree is one of 56 state and territory trees that surround the National Christmas Tree in Washington, D.C. Each tree has ornaments designed by students. St. Alphonsus students put an emphasis on Minnesota being the Land of 10,000 lakes in their design.
You can see the National Tree Lighting ceremony, when the Minnesota tree was lit here.
This year several ornaments are also displayed inside the White House. The lights come on everyday at sunset in Washington, D.C. until New Year’s Day.
