Spring Arrives on the Farm in Brooklyn Park
It’s another sure sign of spring when the baby animals arrive at Eidem Homestead in Brooklyn Park.
The animals are getting used to their new home. The homestead will feature sheep, goats, chicks and of course a baby cow. The late 1800s farm is just about ready to get its spring and summer programs started on Saturday, May 18th with their “Springtime on The Farm” program.
“We do planting in our vegetable garden,” said Eidem Homestead site supervisor Eve Ericson. “We have cooking on the wood stove and several other fun activities for kids to participate in. Our name the cow contest every year is always fun for the kids to do. They help name the cow, which we’ll announce at the end of the day.”
You can find more information about Eidem Homestead on the City of Brooklyn Park website.
