Slick City Action Park Almost Open in Maple Grove
Slick City Action Park, an indoor adventure park with slides and other attractions, is almost ready to open in Maple Grove.
“What you’re looking at is Minnesota’s first indoor slide park,” said owner Mike Kelly. “We’ve got 14 slides — it’s almost like a water park without the water.”
Kelly expects the facility to be “birthday party central.”
“[It’s] a ton of fun. We also have a dodgeball court, two basketball courts, trapeze, swings, zipline, [and a] full cafe,” Kelly said.
When using the slides, riders go head-first on a mat.
“These mats are kind of state-of-the-art,” Kelly said. “And you just fly down these slides.”
Slick City Action Park, an indoor adventure park with slides, a zipline, dodgeball and a café, is almost ready to open in Maple Grove.
Located at 10900 Fountains Drive, it’s situated in the large industrial buildings off Elm Creek Boulevard.
The Maple Grove location will be the first Slick City Action Park in Minnesota.
Their other locations are in Texas, Arizona, Denver, St. Louis, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin.
Kelly and his wife Annie decided to open a Slick City franchise in Maple Grove after visiting the St. Louis location in 2023.
“She had the kids down there, went into Slick City, she called me like 20 times, like, ‘we need to bring this up to Minnesota,” Kelly said. “Maple Grove is perfect, right? I mean this is a dream location, sitting right next to Arbor Lakes. I think I’ve been told that the second most visitors in Minnesota come here. You know, Mall of America first, Arbor Lakes and all the shops here second. So, fantastic location.”
Slick City is hosting a ribbon cutting and grand opening at 4 p.m. next Tuesday.
