Skaalvenn Distillery in Brooklyn Park Makes Request for Cocktail Room
The city of Brooklyn Park could soon have a distillery and cocktail room, joining plans for a similar business in New Hope.
Skaalvenn Distillery has been producing spirits for nearly five years. The owners now want to make changes to their location to have a cocktail room, which would allow the business to serves its products on site. A cocktail room is similar to a taproom for a brewery.
Skaalvenn is located in an office-warehouse type building at 73rd and Boone Avenues North. The Brooklyn Planning Commission will review a conditional use permit request that would allow Skaalvenn Distillery to finish out the bar space and open the cocktail room.
There are only a handful of distillers currently operating cocktail rooms in Minnesota.
