Seven Dreams Foundation’s Bird Bash is Feb. 6

The eighth annual Bird Bash will be a virtual experience on Saturday, Feb. 6. This year’s district-wide initiative will be purchasing multicultural books for middle and high schools.

“We hope these books will be both a window and a mirror for our students,” said Emily Wallace-Jackson with the Seven Dreams Foundation. “We all know the power of books. They can provide a window into experiences and other cultures and promote understanding.”

The project hopes to add 2,500 electronic and print books to middle and high school media centers that are culturally relevant and inclusive of everyone’s story. The electronic books can be checked out remotely.
