School Spotlight: Families Focused on Faith Seek Out Heritage Christian Academy
Staff at Heritage Christian Academy in Maple Grove say they partner with parents to provide a school with a focus on their Christian faith and education.
“We don’t mean for it to sound cliche, but we say we partner with parents in training up their children in the way that they should go, according to Proverbs,” said Tonya Scott, president of Heritage Christian Academy.
The school touted academics, activities and the emphasis on faith at a recent open house.
One parent who recently moved to the area expressed a desire for a school that was consistent with their upbringing.
“We had lived elsewhere out in the East and seen things in culture that it was not just an environment that we thought we wanted to raise our kids in,” said Jill Malin, parent. “We wanted to raise our kids in a way that equipped them to face the challenges of culture.”
The school celebrated its 40th anniversary this year.
