Sales Up at Brooklyn Park’s Edinburgh USA Clubhouse Restaurant
After a successful year, D’Amico Catering will continue to run the clubhouse at Brooklyn Park’s Edinburgh USA Golf Course.
City officials voted to accept D’Amico’s 2024 business plan earlier this week.
“We definitely feel like we are trending in the right direction, in a positive direction, from coming out of the pandemic, and really bringing everything together in a positive way,” said Jerry Clark, a general manager with D’Amico Catering. “So looking forward to continuing to build on that.”
D’Amico Catering presented its business plan for the coming year to the Brooklyn Park City Council, acting as the city’s economic development authority.
Officials from D’Amico say revenue at “The Brooklyn,” the restaurant at the city-owned Edinburgh USA Clubhouse, is up four percent this year.
That’s partly thanks to an updated menu, and enhanced technology that allows golfers to order food right from their carts.
However, the Brooklyn Park EDA encouraged D’Amico to make the facility and clubhouse more accessible to the surrounding community, particularly when it comes to diverse food offerings.
“Nigerian, Liberian, many communities love to come to Brooklyn Park to have their weddings and their events,” said Brooklyn Park Mayor Hollies Winston, acting as the EDA president. “But if they can’t get access to food, or even just a palate, some type of flavor palate that works with what they’re accustomed to, they’re going to move it somewhere else.”
Some of the D’Amico’s strategies for growth next year include working with local community groups and high school teams.
