‘Rudolph’ Rides Again at Stages Theatre Company
One of Stages Theater Company’s most popular productions, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical” is on stage now through Dec. 27. The production is based on the classic television special.
“The Hermey voice that I use is taken from the [TV] special and then repurposed for the stage, so you are going to see the characters that you know,” said Matt Ouren, who plays ‘Hermey,’ the elf who aspires to be a dentist.

The theatre has also removed the mask requirement at performances, except for one weekly performance on Saturdays.
“We’re going back to a more regular way of doing our theater, so we’ve opened it up for more patrons to be in here and no masks anymore,” said Ouren. “But we always hold one Saturday of every week. We have masks for our performances so families can feel more comfortable if that’s what they feel comfortable coming back to the theatre.”
