Robbinsdale’s Elim Lutheran Church Hosting Free Concert By Bach Society
Elim Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale is hosting a free concert this weekend aimed at bringing serenity to a stressful world.
“We were feeling kind of weighed down by everything that was going on, and felt helpless that we couldn’t do anything globally, or on a large scale,” said Harald Eriksen, a member of Elim Lutheran Church. “But perhaps we could do something locally for the community and put on, well, we decided a musical event.”
On Sunday, March 3, Elim Lutheran Church is inviting people to come out for a free concert put on by Yunyue Liu and Marco Real-d’Arbelles. They’re members of the Bach Society of Minnesota.
The musicians describe the compositions they’ll be playing as “classical slow jams.”
“Just a way to bring people together,” said Real-d’Arbelles. “And you know, with the craziness out in the world, just to have a moment together to reflect and maybe empathize and just put some beautiful things out there.”
The concert is at 3 p.m. Sunday at Elim Lutheran Church, located at 3978 West Broadway in Robbinsdale.
