Robbinsdale’s Cocoa Flake Sees Easter Business Bump
At a Robbinsdale store, creativity and color are all centered around chocolate.
Cocoa Flake chocolate shop is offering handcrafted bunnies, chicks and eggs ahead of Easter, all of which are painted to edible perfection.
“I made these super, super cute bunnies,” owner Daniela Rain said. “This one in particular is dark chocolate. It looks adorable.”

While the Easter isn’t as busy as Christmas or Valentine’s Day, Rain said business is picking up.
“One that has gotten a lot of attention is the milk chocolate one, which is the yellow,” Rain said. “I did not expect once I changed the color, because it used to be more pale pink. Once I changed the color to yellow, everybody has been loving it and I had insane requests for it, so I’m making more.”
All of Rain’s hand-painted eggs have a surprise inside.
Another surprise — Minnesota Dairy Lab ice cream will soon be sold at the store.
