Robbinsdale To Hold Level Three Sex Offender Meeting Oct. 18
Robbinsdale police are holding a community meeting about a Level Three sex offender moving into the city.
Izell Robinson, 22, served time for criminal sexual conduct in two separate cases. Both involved forcible sexual contact of women, police said.
Level Three offenders are the most likely to re-offend.
Robinson is registered to live on the 3900 block of Halifax Ave. N. State law requires community notification when a Level Three offender moves into a city.
“While this notice may be disturbing to receive, our intention is to increase awareness in the community, not fear,” said Capt. John Elder, spokesperson for the Robbinsdale Police Department.
In one of the cases, Robinson knew the victim and sexually assaulted her while she visited his home, records showed. The other assault involved a woman Robinson did not know after the victim accepted a ride in his vehicle.
According to the Minnesota Department of Corrections website, there are 26 Level Three sex offenders living in the northwest suburbs covered by CCX News. Their locations are as follows:
- Brooklyn Center – 1
- Brooklyn Park – 14
- Crystal – 2
- Golden Valley – 7
- Robbinsdale – 2
The Robbinsdale notification meeting takes place Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Robbinsdale City Hall, 4100 Lakeview Avenue North.
Police and Department of Corrections officials are expected to be on hand to answer questions.
