Robbinsdale School District Picks 6 Semifinalists for Superintendent
The Robbinsdale Area School District has narrowed its search for a new superintendent.
The school board has selected six semifinalists for the district’s top job. The candidates include three from Twin Cities public school districts, one from northern Minnesota and two from out of state.
The semifinalists are:
- George Nolan, principal at Gatewood Elementary School in Minnetonka, Hopkins Public Schools
- Patrick Duffy, director of teaching, learning and leadership, St. Louis Park Public Schools
- Bondo Nyembwe, executive director of educational services, Columbia Heights Public Schools
- Noel Schmidt, superintendent of Rock Ridge Public Schools in Virginia, Minn.
- Timothy McCray, deputy superintendent, Madison, Wis., Metropolitan School District
- Elizabeth Keenan, former superintendent, Special School District of St. Louis County, Mo.
The semifinalists were chosen from an initial pool of 14 applicants based on criteria established by the school board and survey input from stakeholders of Robbinsdale Area Schools.
Interviews for all six semifinalists are scheduled for Saturday, April 6, at the Education Service Center, 4148 Winnetka Ave. N. in New Hope.
