Robbinsdale Farmers Market Pilot Program Begins This Summer
The owner of the Camden Farmers Market wants to move the market to Robbinsdale as the Lakeview Terrace Market this summer.
It would be located on the south side of Lakeview Terrace Park, near the playground, soccer fields and parking lot. It will be held on Saturdays.
The council said they’ve tried repeatedly to bring a Farmers Market to Robbinsdale, but haven’t been successful yet.
“I know it hasn’t been the most successful. I’ve heard for the times you’ve tried a market, but I can guarantee this market will bring in people from all around, not just Robbinsdale,” said Chaz Sandifer, market owner. “It’ll be a safe and fun market and something for the whole family.”
The council approved the market as a pilot program. So far the plans are for the market to operate from eight until noon on Saturday’s. It would also offer free fitness classes on Saturday mornings.
