Destination restaurant Travail has been an economic engine for downtown Robbinsdale.
But the city is eyeing some properties to the north and west that could have redevelopment potential to add to the mix.
The Robbinsdale city council set a goal to discover next steps for potential downtown redevelopment. There are several government-owned properties in the area that could be considered for redevelopment. Some are parking lots. There’s also the Northside Oriental Market Building and he Hubbard Marketplace.
The future light rail line could impact the area, but members of the economic development authority voiced their opinions for further discussion on redevelopment options that could come to fruition before light rail comes in.
The matter will be discussed at an upcoming work session. Listen to the previous discussion here.
