Robbinsdale Bathroom has a “Birdtown” theme
“Birdtown” has become a hip, new nickname for Robbinsdale. Cheryl Hillman has lived in Robbinsdale more than 20 years and when she moved into a new home about a year ago, she set out to change the decor. She decorated her bathroom with creative artwork as an ode to her city.
“I just started creating all my little art, my Birdtown pieces,” says Hillman. “I think I just hung up one item up there and then my head started clicking.”
Hillman makes art out of wood, items she finds at thrift stores and images she creates on her computer. She created word clouds featuring Robbinsdale event and unique artwork that pays tribute to Robbinsdale.
“What a fun, small space,” says Hillman. “It’s on the main level of my home. My husband and I love to entertain. It’s just kind of a tribute to where we are here in Robbinsdale. It’s fun.”
You can find Hillman’s artwork for sale at Wickedly Charming and Minnesota Makers in downtown Robbinsdale.
