Providence Academy remembers 9/11
It’s the 17th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, and flags throughout the area are at half staff. Providence Academy upheld its tradition of planting hundreds of flags on the school’s grounds. They lined the entrance road and walkways. It’s a gesture local emergency services workers say makes them feel appreciated.
Even though most of the kids at Providence Academy are too young to remember the attacks, they say planting the flags is important to make sure that day is never forgotten.
