Principal Frank Herman Retiring From Cooper High School
Cooper High School’s “Papa Hawk” is about to fly the coop.
Principal Frank Herman, who has been called Papa Hawk during his eight years at Cooper High School, will retire on Feb. 28.
Herman confirmed the retirement date with CCX News and said the decision was a hard one, “as I truly love these Hawks. Feb. 28 will be my last day at the Coop.”
Herman has more than 30 years working in education and has been with the Robbinsdale School District since 2011. He frequently put his school and his support for Cooper students in the spotlight on social media, like he did in this story about school being canceled because of the snow.
In a letter to families and students, Herman said a transition plan is underway.
