Robbinsdale Police Respond to Two Shootings
Police in Robbinsdale responded to two separate shootings Thursday. According to a media release from the department, officers answered a call to the 3800 block of West Broadway. The caller reported a robbery by a gunman with shots fired. The gunman escaped in a vehicle. Police have yet to locate him. The robbery victim had minor injuries.
A Separate Shooting an Hour Later
Just over an hour later, officers responded to a drive-by shooting in the 3300 block of France in Robbinsdale. A victim with “non-life-threatening gunshot wounds” was taken to North Memorial Health Hospital. Bystanders described the vehicle used in the shooting and Brooklyn Center police later stopped one matching its description. Officers arrested three “persons of interest.”
The media release says both shootings are under investigation, but are not connected. The Robbinsdale Police Department asks anyone who has information on either incident to call 763-531-1220.
