Police, Fire Honored at Plymouth Senior Facility
Plymouth police and firefighters were guests of honor at a special barbecue on Wednesday at The Waters of Plymouth assisted living facility.
“They are just so fast and always there for us as staff members and residents,” said Jenna Greig with The Waters. “We’re honoring police and fire for all the work they do for community and residents.”
The event also brought back a sense of normalcy to get back to an event that happened pre-pandemic.
“It’s just such a treat to come and just enjoy each other’s company and have those conversations when there’s not some sort of an emergency,” said Erik Fadden, public safety director. “We’ve all had a tough couple of years and it’s really nice to have perfect weather and be outside and enjoy some conversation that doesn’t involve something tragic happening.”
Staff said the event was very special for a few residents who had previous careers as police officers or firefighters.
