Police: Brooklyn Park Home Targeted in Early Morning Shooting
Brooklyn Park police are looking for a vehicle involved in an early morning shooting Sunday, Feb. 1, police said.
According to a Brooklyn Park police news alert, officers responded at around 1:15 a.m. to a reports of shots fired at a home in the 9900 block of Scott Avenue North, located in the northern part of the city southeast of Regent Avenue and Oak Grove Parkway.
Upon arrival, officers found evidence of gunfire.
“Officers determined that a residence had been targeted, and multiple rounds were fired into the home from outside,” Brooklyn Park police said in the news alert.
Police said they recovered “several spent shell casings.”
No one inside the home was injured during the incident, police said.
Brooklyn Park police said whoever fired the shots had fled the area in a vehicle prior to the arrival of officers. No arrests had been made as of Monday morning.
No motive was given for the shooting. The incident remains under investigation.
