Police: Auto Service Worker Robbed at Gunpoint
Brooklyn Park police are investigating an armed robbery of an automotive service worker that police say took place at an apartment complex.
Officers responded around 7:30 p.m. Thursday to the Kensington Place apartments, located in the 8300 block of Zane Ave. N.
Police say the victim was called to the complex for an automotive service call. When the victim arrived, police say three men held the worker up at gunpoint, stealing a cellphone, wallet and tools.
The robbers then fled on foot, police said.
Police did a canine search to try to find the robbers, but none were located. The victim’s cellphone was recovered one block to the north of where the robbery occurred.
As of Friday, no arrests had been made.
Shots Fired at Vehicle
Police are also looking for a suspect who fired shots at another vehicle.
The shooting happened just after 3 p.m. Thursday around 63rd and West Broadway avenues.
Police say someone in one vehicle fired at another and drove away from the scene. The gunfire hit the other vehicle. No one was injured during the incident.
During a police interview with an occupant of the vehicle struck, officers learned the shooting stemmed from a dispute over an unpaid debt.
The shooter had not been located as of Friday.
