Plymouth’s Newest Date Night Destination: Charcuterie Bar
In the world of fine dining, art isn’t always found hanging on a gallery wall.
Sometimes, the most impressive masterpieces are built on a wooden board using nothing more than cured meats, artisanal cheeses and a dash of creative vision.
Since opening last October in Plymouth’s Waterford Park Plaza, Charcuterie Bar has quickly become a go-to destination for date nights, girls’ nights out, and local celebrations.
The concept is the brainchild of owner Angel Rogers, who recognized a gap in the local culinary scene.
“I just felt like the charcuterie theme would be a nice vibe for the area,” Rogers said. “The city of Plymouth definitely welcomed us — they felt like it was needed and they were excited to have us here.”
Rogers is no stranger to the Twin Cities food scene.
She also owns Angelea’s Soul Food Kitchen in Brooklyn Park and is currently preparing to expand that brand with a second location in St. Paul later this month.

Customers of Charcuterie Bar can either build their own boards or order one of their pre-curated boards.
More Than Just a Snack
While the name suggests a simple appetizer, manager Moneack Curry emphasized that Charcuterie Bar offers a full-scale social experience. The menu features a curated selection of wines and craft cocktails designed to pair perfectly with their edible art.
“We tailor a lot to events, date nights, celebrations, and book clubs,” said Curry. “When you’re here, you can guarantee that you will receive an experience.”
For those new to the world of “adult Lunchables,” the process of building a board can be intimidating. To help, the bar offers two distinct paths:
Custom Creations: Guests can hand-pick their own combination of prosciutto, mozzarella, olives, and crackers.
Pre-Curated Boards: Expertly paired selections for those who want flavors that specifically complement or accent one another.
“It takes practice and skill,” Curry explained, when asked what it takes to make a nice board. “You kind of have to have the vision. When they get our pre-made boards, they are able to experience a lot of different flavors, and then they’re also paired with things that complement or accent each other. So that also introduces them into the charcuterie world.”

Charcuterie Bar is located at 10100 6th Ave N #122, Plymouth, MN, 55441. They’re open open Wednesday-Friday, 4-9 p.m. Saturday, noon to 9 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
Looking Ahead
Though the business is still in its first year, word-of-mouth is traveling fast. Rogers and Curry say they’ve seen visitors from across the metro area.
“And I guarantee when they do come, they leave happy,” said Curry.
