Plymouth Swears In Eight New Police Officers
Eight Plymouth police officers were sworn in this week at Tuesday’s Plymouth City Council meeting.
The swearings-in mark the largest group of police officers to join the city during Plymouth Police Chief Erik Fadden’s five-year tenure leading the department.
The latest hires include Kyle Andreasen, Haley Briesch, Nate Griswold, James Kelley, Gerald Karpe, Dan Rolston, Caleb Treichler, Markayla Zeiher.
The new officers offer a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. Briesch is a former competitive figure skater. Kelley began working in human resources. Rolston started in wealth management.
The new hires will help replace retirements in the department. Plymouth currently has 76 sworn officers and is authorized for 83. Fadden said he anticipates hiring another group of officers who will start this summer.
