Plymouth Police Update Description of Vehicle Sought in Hit-and-Run That Injured Bicyclist
The Plymouth Police Department continues to seek the public’s help in locating a vehicle that struck and critically injured a bicyclist Saturday night. Police now say the vehicle sought is a sedan, likely a 2009-2014 Acura TSX or similar vehicle, which is believed to be white, silver or gray in color. The vehicle also has possible damage to the front end and driver’s-side windshield, police said Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Rockford Road and Vicksburg Lane.
According to police, the driver was headed westbound on Rockford Road when the bicyclist was struck. The driver then fled the scene, police said.
The bicyclist, a 19-year-old man, suffered life-threatening injuries. Plymouth public safety personnel provided medical care to the man before he was transported to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale. The victim was listed in critical condition.
