Plymouth Police Provide New Details on Vehicle Sought in Hit-and-Run of Bicyclist
The Plymouth Police Department released updated information Tuesday regarding the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run that critically injured a bicyclist more than a week ago.
The incident happened at about 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, at the intersection of Rockford Road and Vicksburg Lane.
On Tuesday, Plymouth police narrowed the description of the vehicle sought in the incident. The vehicle is now described as a black pearl-colored 2011-2014 Acura TSX. Police say the vehicle has damage and missing pieces to the lower front bumper. The vehicle is also missing what’s known as A-pillar trim, or vertical supports, next to the front driver’s side windshield.
According to police, the driver was headed westbound on Rockford Road when a bicyclist was struck. The driver fled the scene. The victim, a 19-year-old man, suffered life-threatening injuries. He was taken to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale where he was listed in critical condition.
