Plymouth Police: Juveniles Steal Vehicle, Crash Into Driver in Robbinsdale
A high-speed chase that started in Plymouth and ended in Robbinsale on July 19 sent one person to the hospital, Plymouth police told CCX News.
Plymouth police say they spotted a stolen truck traveling southbound on Vicksburg Lane from Chankahda Trail shortly before 11:50 p.m. last Friday. The driver of the stolen vehicle turned east on Rockford Road and accelerated at a “high rate of speed,” police said.
“Multiple attempts by officers to stop the vehicle were unsuccessful,” said Plymouth police spokesperson Karen Anderson.
Anderson said officers pursued the pickup into Robbinsdale where it eventually crashed into another vehicle near the intersection of the Highway 100 exit and 42nd avenue.
Police say the four occupants of the stolen truck ran from the scene. Officers were able to apprehend three of them, all juveniles.
Investigators are working to identify the fourth person, who’s believed to be the driver, Anderson said.
The sole occupant of the vehicle that was struck was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
