Plymouth Plans for Pickleball at Zachary Playfield
The Plymouth Parks and Recreation Department hopes to add six pickleball courts to Zachary Playfield, just west of a shelter and south of the playground. The courts would also have lights with a push button for people to turn on and use before 10:30 p.m. The lights would automatically shut off after 10:30 p.m.
The project is on the Plymouth City Council agenda.

The plan is in response to the growing popularity of pickleball.
“Zachary Playfield, they already have a brand new playground. They’ve got all kinds of softball fields and baseball fields. So having pickleball is just going to make it even better,” said Cole O’Brien, a pickleball player who was out enjoying the day at the park.
