Plymouth Man Celebrates 102nd Birthday
It’s a story more than a century in the making.
Trillium Woods, a senior living facility in Plymouth, hosted a party on Thursday for Fran Brown, who turned 102 years old this month.
Brown previously made history at Trillium Woods when he became was the first centenarian of that senior living community.
At 102, Brown says he feels “pretty good most of the time.”
But Brown says he doesn’t have a special secret to good health.
“I don’t eat a peculiar diet,” he said.
If there is one: perhaps it’s lawn maintenance.
“We had a nice, nice house with a lot of lawn,” said Brown. “Maybe walking behind a lawn mower helped, I don’t know.”
Brown made a living at 3M, developing new adhesives and tapes.
He has two sons, who are in their 60s, who he plans spend the Christmas holiday with.
