Plymouth Creek Center to Become ‘Plymouth Community Center’
When the first round of construction wraps at the Plymouth Creek Center, the building will have a name that some feel is more reflective of what happens there. The city council approved changing the name to the Plymouth Community Center at this week’s meeting.
Council members say the name change would clear up any confusion of what the facility is. Staff say with the current renovation underway, it’s a good time to update the facility logo and branding.
The Plymouth Creek Center is currently undergoing an extensive renovation and expansion that will eventually more than triple the square footage. Construction will happen in two phases and wrap up by the end of 2022.
Staff anticipate rolling out the new name of the Plymouth Community Center during the first phase of the renovations.
