Plymouth Company Donates, Wraps $31K Worth of Gifts
Legacy Restoration in Plymouth is using the holiday season to think about those in need and give back in a big way.
Staff members received wish lists and then went shopping for more than 250 families.
The company covered the cost of everything on the list.
Friday morning, those employees met at Legacy Restoration’s office in Plymouth for a massive gift-wrapping event.
“She’s looking for some clothes, some shoes, a coffee tumbler, so I was able to get everything on the list,” said Carly Downs, a retail sales manager at Legacy Restoration, as she wrapped presents.
All told, the donation will equate to more than $31,000 worth of gifts for families in need.
“As our company has grown so much over the last 15, 14 years, we just see that larger circle of influence that we can have a positive impact on,” said Scott Mullins, founder and CEO of Legacy Restoration. “So there’s that, there’s the impact, but it also strengthens us as an organization to give back; to use our skills, our resources, and our gifts to support the communities around us.”
This is the company’s 10th year of doing the gift-wrapping event. They plan to deliver the presents to a pair of nonprofits, Hope House and Volunteers for America, next week.
