Plymouth Approves New Senior Care Facility
The Plymouth City Council approved plans this week for a new senior living facility.
The facility would be located on unused land west of Pilgrim United Methodist Church, just southeast of the Zachary Playfields.
The proposal called Suite Living Senior Care of Plymouth would offer 32 units, 20 for assisted living and 12 for memory care.
White Bear Lake-based Landco Investments would develop the site. Suite Living Senior Care, which operates more than a dozen such facilities in the Twin Cities, including one in Brooklyn Park and another in Crystal, would manage the Plymouth location. This would be the company’s first Plymouth facility.
One notable aspect of the project is there would be no direct street access to the senior living facility. Instead, access would be allowed through the church parking lot.
“There would be a permanently recorded private access easement,” said Shawn Drill, Plymouth city planner, explaining the situation to the city council.
The Plymouth City Council approved the project by a 6-0 vote
