Plans Grow Bigger for New Hope Hy-Vee Drive-Through
Hy-Vee says 10 percent of shoppers who purchase groceries at its New Hope store do so by curbside pickup. To accommodate those numbers, the West Des Moines, Iowa-based company wants to build a drive-through kiosk just west of the store.
The company submitted plans last year, but the project was delayed because of the pandemic. The New Hope City Council approved the plans this week. That plan includes a larger building and an additional pick-up lane.
To use the drive-through services, customers would purchase groceries online, drive into a lane and a store employee would place the groceries in the person’s car.
