Plan Unveiled for New Apartment Complex in Western Maple Grove
There’s a plan to build a new multi-family apartment complex in western Maple Grove. A concept plan goes before the Maple Grove Planning Commission this week.
The Edison at Maple Grove would be located on the Tri-Care property, between Garland Lane and the future extension of Highway 610. It would have 248 total units in two 5-story apartment buildings as well as a dog park, pool, playground and gazebo. There would be a combination of one, two, and three bedroom apartments in the two buildings. Each building would have a large lobby or clubhouse and amenity area as well as fully-equipped exercise rooms and yoga rooms.
The developer, JPL Development, noted in their narrative to the city that their business model is to self-develop and construct, own to hold, and manage and operate its residential communities, and that “JPL does not build and flip.” The company has five rental communities in Minnesota in Lakeville, Shoreview, and Woodbury.
