Pilgrim Dry Cleaners Kicks Off Coats for Kids Drive
Pilgrim Dry Cleaners is in its 36th year of collecting Coats for Kids. Its latest coat and winter gear drive runs through Oct. 9.
The business collected more than 11,000 coats last year and hopes to reach a similar goal this year. All of the coats are given to Minnesota nonprofits for distribution.
“A lot of them are for schools, like the Anoka-Hennepin School District,” said Laura Dizon, spokesperson for Pilgrim Dry Cleaners.
Dizon says some coats are also distributed to people who are homeless.
Coats can be dropped off at any Pilgrim Dry Cleaners or at any Davanni’s Pizza location. Have extra hats, scarves, mittens or gloves? Those can be delivered too.
If you can’t help through an in-kind donation, financial donations are accepted too. You can learn more here.
