Perpich Student Named U.S. Presidential Scholar Semifinalist in Arts
A Standout Student featured previously on CCX News for her fashion design skills has been recognized for one of the nation’s highest honors for high school students.
Perpich Arts High School senior Catrielle Barnett of Plymouth has been named a U.S. Presidential Scholar in Arts semifinalist. She’s the only student in Minnesota to earn that particular distinction and one of nine in Minnesota total to become U.S. Presidential Scholar semifinalists.
This winter, Barnett was named a 2023 YoungArts National Finalist in Design Arts for outstanding artistic achievement. That particular honor presented her the opportunity to travel to Florida to learn from some of the most renowned artists in the world including fashion designer Machine Dazzle.
