Park Center Sports Dome to Open to Public Within the Week
Officials from Osseo Area Schools and the city of Brooklyn Park celebrated the grand opening of the Park Center Sports Dome on Monday night. The city and school district share the cost of the dome.
“Both entities came together and partnered on it, sharing the costs, sharing operational costs, investment costs,” says Brooklyn Park Mayor Jeffrey Lunde.”I’m pretty happy with what this says to taxpayers.”
The dome features a full-size soccer field, three batting cages, a walking track, and a lobby with restrooms.
“It’s so crazy to drive by and see something we’ve always dreamed of and drive by everyday. And now be able to do the sports we love,” said Ashton Foulke, a student who is ready to use the dome.
The dome is expected to be open to the public this week.
