Pair of Robbinsdale Road Projects Near Completion
Residents in Robbinsdale who’ve had to deal with road closures and detours over the last few months will soon get some relief.
A stretch of 36th Avenue North near Hy-Vee has been closed since early August. Crews are replacing the water main and other underground utilities that were nearly 100 years old.
City officials say they hope to reopen the road by the end of next week.
“I know it’s been difficult for some but we thank them for their patience during this long, inconvenience,” said Richard McCoy, Robbinsdale’s public works director.
A section of 42nd Avenue in Robbinsdale was also closed last week as BNSF Railway made repairs at the railroad crossing. One lane in each direction reopened to traffic on Monday.
