Owner of Maple Grove’s Nadia Cakes Releases Best-selling Novel
She’s an award-winning baker, and a bestselling author. Now, the owner of Maple Grove’s Nadia Cakes has yet another hit novel to add to her impressive resume.
“It’s a little surreal, especially because being an author is never really something I thought I was going to do,” said Abby Jimenez, owner of Nadia Cakes. “So looking back and seeing how far I’ve come over the last five years is pretty incredible.”
Jimenez just released her fifth book, titled “Yours Truly” earlier this month.

The book is a romantic comedy that’s described by Good Reads as “A novel of terrible first impressions, hilarious second chances, and the joy in finding your perfect match.”
It debuted as the best-selling paperback in the nation, according to Publishers Weekly, and this week it’s No. 4 on The New York Times bestseller list in two different categories.
“I’ve got a really fabulous readership and reader base,” Jimenez said. “And they’re so excited after reading ‘Part of Your World’ (her last book) that they want to pick up ‘Yours Truly’ and they talk about it on social media and that helps gain more of a following. So it’s pretty cool to see my books do better and better every single time they come out.”
Nadia Cakes is selling a special red velvet cupcake that was inspired by the book. Those will be available through Sunday, April 30.
