Osseo School Board Names Five Superintendent Candidates
The Osseo School Board announced Friday morning that it has approved five candidates for the district’s top job. The candidates for superintendent will be interviewed at a special meeting on Feb. 27
Dr. Lisa Sayles-Adams is the current superintendent of Eastern Carver County Schools. She was one of three finalists for the Osseo superintendent job in 2019.
Dr. Amy Starzecki is the current superintendent of the Superior School District in Superior, Wis.
Dr. Brenda Cassellius is the current CEO of LeaderProof, LLC and former superintendent of Boston Public Schools in Boston, Mass. She also served as Minnesota’s commissioner of the Department of Education from 2010 to 2019.
Dr. Kim Hiel is the current superintendent of Fridley Public Schools. She worked as an assistant superintendent at Osseo and was a principal in the Robbinsdale School District. She was previously a finalist for the Robbinsdale superintendent job in 2021.
Dr. Teri Staloch is a current senior educational consultant of Sitelog IQ and School IQ and former superintendent in Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools.

After the interviews, the school board is expected to name two to three finalists following the first interviews. Finalists will then be invited to day-long interviews on Feb. 28, March 1, or March 2. The decision on the preferred candidates is expected to be announced after the last interview.
Current Superintendent Cory McIntyre accepted a job as superintendent of Anoka-Hennepin Schools and is expected to begin work there in July.
